Studio Artist required to develop and create new imagery in house, for all Publishing areas within the Art Group including Private Label clients, Generic and Art on Demand/New Media Projects. Product areas will encompass a broad range of wall décor and stationery products including – canvas, posters, framed art and cards.

My client is an international, market-leading publisher of art with offices in London, Wellingborough and the USA.
The Studio Artist will create exciting and innovative imagery according to specific briefs generated by both the Commissioning Editor and the Director of Creative/New Product Development. Skills Required:
This role requires a highly creative and enthusiastic individual to work
within the broad commercial framework of the Publishing Department. The Studio Artist will need to demonstrate the following skills:
* To have an ability to work across a variety of artistic disciplines, including painting, collage/textiles and paper construction, providing strong decorative imagery. * To be able to interpret and act on creative briefs. * Be willing to learn about the poster/print and card publishing market. * To be client focussed and have a strong commercial eye. * Building up a body of work that is client specific and often within tight deadlines. * Be open to being experimental with the art formats, utilising the studio and in house facilities. * To contribute in creative meetings with proactive ideas, supplying visual examples be it sketches or magazine / web images to illustrate and support the proposed style direction. * Have a keen interest in styling and interiors. * Have the ability to work both as an individual and within a team.
